INDIAN BENCHMARKS NEWS UPDATES

INDIAN BENCHMARKS are poised to witness a gap down opening on Wednesday tracking an intense sell-off in equities worldwide as a continued oil collapse and mounting worries over a China slowdown signaled heightened risks to global economic growth, prompting a fight from risky assets. SGX Nifty Trading Tips is trading 62.50 points lower. As expected, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) left key interest rates unchanged. India's broader NSE index was trading down 0.2% in a volatile session on Tuesday, but bank stocks rose on bargain hunting in the beaten-down sector after the central bank left key rates unchanged, as widely expected.
